“Domestic foodscapes: Towards mindful eating?” was a conference held in March 2008 in Montreal and co-sponsored by Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and Concordia University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Leading experts and scholars from around the world and from disciplines such as history, design, management, nutrition and anthropology, gathered to explore the changing nature and future of domestic foodscapes —  the physical and social environments in which we prepare and eat food in the home, along with the material and visual culture associated with these activities.
